The authors of the articles we read in the Kairos course have a distinguished history. Many of them are biblical scholars and/or well-known field workers and/or key missions mobilizers. Many of them have already gone to heaven. But some are still with us. Because I partner with ministries in the southwest USA, I get to spend quite a bit of time in Phoenix, Arizona. This last week I got to take a photo with two of my favorite Kairos authors (and they both happen to be friends of mine): Meg Crossman and Bob Blincoe.
It's hard to underestimate how much these two individuals have helped the global cause of Jesus. Meg has been a missions mobilizer for most of her adult life. She launched Pathways to Global Understanding in the Phoenix Valley and for many years it was the "Perspectives" of Arizona. Bob Blincoe served for many years as the U.S. Director for Frontiers, a missions agency focused solely on unreached Muslim people groups. Bob and his wife served among the Kurds, one of the largest unreached Muslim people groups in the world.
I know a LOT of people who would love to meet Taylor Swift or a famous politician or movie star. For me, meeting up with these great saints and talking with them, listening, and asking questions is FAR greater than any "celebrity" this world has to offer.
