Dear Simply Mobilizing family,
Grace and peace be yours through the precious presence and priceless promises of our Lord Jesus.
It is an unusual time around the world right now with the COVID-19 virus situation. There seems to be much information and much mis-information being shared. The US NCT has been listening carefully and exploring the recommendations and guidelines given by international agencies, the Federal Government, state and local municipalities along with information from Infectious Disease experts.
After prayer and consultation, we strongly recommend the following action to all Head Facilitators regarding SM activities:
- All SM courses currently in process be paused for a period of time until the virus situation is more under control and the peak has passed. We suggest at least until May 1st, with the contingency further delay may be necessary for health situations.
- All SM courses not yet started but approved, be delayed at least until after May 1st with the contingency further delay may be necessary for health situations.
- All SM courses in discussion, with no approved course plans submitted and approved bepostponed until June 1st with the contingency further delay may be necessary for health situations.
During the next eight weeks, the US-NCT will not conduct HFTC. The Course scheduled for April 20 & 21 will be rescheduled for a date later this year.
We anticipate increased interest in conducting courses online. The US NCT does not authorize SM courses to be delivered in an online format. The NCT will be in contact with other NCT’s and with SM Global to determine opportunities for the future.
It is our deep desire to facilitate a mobilization movement in the Body of Christ in the USA. Our prayer is that during this season in the US, the Church of Jesus Christ will be a reflection of his heart of compassion, serving those in need and interceding to the Father for mercy.
We will post updates on the SMUSA website and send email updates to all trained Head Facilitators. Please join us in prayer for the Lord’s hand to intervene and to guide us through this time where we are a reflection of his grace and mercy in how we respond.
Sincerely,
Colleen Di Raddo
U.S. National Coordinator with the guidance of the U.S. National Coordination Team
